Last week, the Demeine Estates team gathered in Na Last week, the Demeine Estates team gathered in Napa Valley for our annual National Sales Meeting, bringing together colleagues for a few days of connection, education, and collaboration.

We began the week with a memorable dinner at @heitzcellar Salon, setting the stage for meaningful conversations and time spent together. The following day, the team explored the historic @trailsidevineyard estate in Rutherford with Macy Stubstad, Director of Vineyard Operations at LWE, gaining a deeper appreciation for the vineyard’s history and unique sense of place while tasting the 2022 Heitz Cellar Trailside Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon and the 2022 Trailside Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon, a collaborative project between Carlton McCoy, Jr. MS and Jeremy Seysses of Domaine Dujac.

Our team then moved to the Residence at @stonyhillvineyard where Carlton McCoy and Winemaker Reid Griggs led an immersive tour of the Stony Hill Estate on Spring Mountain, sharing insights into the property’s legacy, winemaking philosophy, and commitment to excellence.

After a full day of team presentations, we closed out the gathering with a special dinner at @botteganapavalley in Yountville, celebrating the connections built throughout the week and the shared passion that brings Demeine Estates together.

Thank you to everyone who contributed to making this year’s National Sales Meeting a success. We are grateful for the opportunity to connect, learn, and continue building the future of Demeine Estates together.
Introducing the @chateau_lascombes 2023 vintage. Introducing the @chateau_lascombes 2023 vintage.

A new chapter begins at Château Lascombes, guided by precision, elegance, and a deep respect for the estate’s historic Margaux terroir. Axel Heinz reflects on his first full vintage at Château Lascombes:

“The charm and vibrant fruit of the Cabernet Franc quickly won me over. The Merlot required careful sorting. After vinification, it was crisp and very elegant. Gentle extraction allowed the Petit Verdot to express its fruity yet tannic character. As for the Cabernet Sauvignon, its complexity, elegance and distinguished tannins are a tribute to Lascombes’ historic terroir. They guided us, almost as if it were obvious, to the Château Lascombes 2023 blend, characterized by straightforwardness, classicism and silkiness. Isn’t that the definition of the Margaux style I’ve come to rediscover?”

Recent coverage from @vinousmedia highlights the continued evolution of Vino Nobile di Montepulciano, recognizing the region’s remarkable progress and noting that it has become “the most improved region in Tuscany over the last decade.”

The 2021 vintage showcases this new chapter, with wines that reflect the clarity, precision, and sense of place that have become hallmarks of the region’s renewed focus on Sangiovese and traditional Tuscan varieties.

Among the standout wines is the 2021 Costa Grande single vineyard, recently released in our Spring Icon Offering, which will be classified under the Pieve Cervognano designation and represents the exceptional character of Boscarelli’s vineyards.

As Vino Nobile di Montepulciano continues to enter a new era, Boscarelli remains dedicated to honoring tradition while shaping the future of the region.
