The @champagne_philipponnat family has been rooted in Champagne since 1522, when they first planted vines in Aÿ and Mareuil-sur-Aÿ. Fifteen generations later, Charles Philipponnat leads the house with a vision that balances heritage and innovation. The family’s holdings include the legendary Clos des Goisses vineyard, source of Champagne’s first single-vineyard wine and still one of the region’s most revered sites.

Philipponnat’s wines are defined by Pinot Noir, crafted with freshness, depth, and time. Each cuvée reflects a philosophy of perpetual motion - blending the energy of the new harvest with the complexity of a reserve that dates back to 1946.

@legras_haas is a family estate rooted in four centuries of grape growing in Chouilly, the northernmost Grand Cru village of the Côte des Blancs. Founded in 1991 by François and Brigitte Legras, the domaine is now led by their three sons -Olivier, Rémi, and Jérôme -who continue the legacy with a focus on Chardonnay of purity, grace, and energy.

From their 38 hectares of vines across Chouilly and beyond, the family’s Blanc de Blancs range is always 100% estate-grown, capturing the precision of terroir and the patience of long élevage.

A Legras & Haas vintage reflects both the year and the place as it’s a single-cru, estate-grown wine. The 2008 vintage is celebrated and yet after 12 years of aging in the bottle a new face of this vintage wine is emerging. It is Champagne at perfect maturity. Patience is rewarded.

In this Fall Icon Offering spotlight, we’re featuring the 2022 vintage from @domainemontille. With roots in Volnay dating back to the 17th century and winemaking beginnings in 1750, the family has built its reputation on patience, precision, and a deep respect for Burgundy’s greatest terroirs.

Under the leadership of Étienne de Montille, the domaine has become a benchmark for both tradition and innovation - farming organically and biodynamically, crafting wines with whole-cluster fermentations, long macerations, and restrained oak to preserve elegance and ageability.

The 2022 vintage captures this philosophy in its purest form: Pinot Noir that is vibrant and seductive, with racy energy, lifted aromatics, and silky tannins that promise both immediate charm and long-term potential.

On October 16-18, @wine_spectator New York Wine Experience brings some of the world’s most celebrated wines together in one place, and we’re proud to have several Demeine Estates brands represented.

@heitzcellar will be pouring the 2019 Martha’s Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon at booth 5151, a Napa classic known for elegance and aging potential. @champagne_philipponnat will be pouring the 2014 Clos des Goisses Extra Brut at booth 6244, a Champagne of striking power and finesse.

@marchesimazzei will be presenting the 2019 Siepi Toscana IGT magnum at booth 5178, a wine of richness and balance from Maremma. @poderiboscarelli will be pouring the 2016 Il Nocio at booth 5194, a single-vineyard Sangiovese with depth and character.
