This week’s Icon Spotlight features the 2022 Forgeron Pinot Noir, crafted from 1968 vines with whole-cluster fermentation and minimal new oak, delivering old-vine concentration and elegance. Alongside it, the 2022 Forgeron Syrah offers a pure, terroir-driven expression, naturally fermented and aged in large neutral foudres for rich texture and depth. Together, these wines capture the grace, power, and legacy of Haynes Vineyard.

Our Fall Icon Offering's Spotlight wine features La Côte Lascombes 2022, described by Antonio Galloni of @vinousmedia as “an audacious new wine… beautiful and promising.” Crafted from 100% Merlot grown on rare blue clay soils, La Côte represents a striking new perspective from this historic property.

"Founder Joe Heitz is well known for having produced the first vineyard-designate Cabernet Sauvignon in the late 1950s, but his legacy lives on with excellent wines made from both Cabernet Sauvignon and Chardonnay. While we love the big, bold Cabs, we are also huge fans of this stellar Chardonnay. Aromas of mandarin orange peel, citrus blossom, and salt air draw you in, leading to flavors of Key Lime pie, kumquat, and candied orange peel - all tightly wrapped with zesty acidity".
